Our History

ERMA Humanitarian Relief Foundation supports the victims of war, occupation and natural disasters, as well as the displaced and refugee people in need; it supports those in need with in-kind and cash aid, as well as long-term projects.

ERMA Humanitarian Aid Foundation also provides emergency aid, social aid, education and health services, as well as resolving grievances resulting from human rights violations. In this context, ERMA's priorities are to bring the victimized geographies supported by aid and development projects to the forefront of the agenda, to inform opinion leaders about the grievances of our society, to raise awareness on this issue and to take concrete steps towards a solution.

In addition to regular Ramadan and Qurban aid, ERMA Humanitarian Relief Foundation carries out long-term projects in regions affected by war, occupation and natural disasters.

These projects include building permanent housing and educational facilities and digging water wells.

 

The problems of the victimized regions are made public through campaigns regularly brought to the agenda by the ERMA Humanitarian Relief Foundation, and important projects are carried out in the victimized regions with the support of the Turkish people.

In addition to its work in different parts of the world, from Asia to Africa, from the Balkans to the Far East, the ERMA Foundation also responds to an important need in the geography of Turkey. A good example of civil society organizations taking an active role in the improvement and construction of society, the ERMA Foundation works to alleviate the suffering caused by natural disasters and continues its aid activities in Turkey with projects such as education aid, Ramadan and Qurban aid.

ERMA's Firsts

• ERMA is the first non-governmental organization based in Türkiye that delivers humanitarian aid to 82 countries on five continents.

• ERMA is the first non-governmental organization in Turkey to organize an international aid campaign for the Ramadan Feast.

• ERMA became one of the organizations that brought aid to Gaza after the wall built on the Egypt-Gaza border was demolished.

• ERMA is one of the first aid organizations from Turkey to deliver aid to Syria.

• ERMA is one of the first aid organizations in the world to deliver aid to the people of Sudan.

• ERMA is one of the first civil society organizations in Turkey to launch a national campaign for Africa (under the name of Emergency Aid Campaign in Africa since 1995).

• ERMA, a Türkiye-based non-governmental organization, has launched Africa's largest health campaign.
